I’ve been making collagraphs and working with pressed botanicals for a while now, but here, I’ve been afforded the opportunity to combine what I have learnt with my passion for ceramics, specifically footed bowls.

Autumn, with its cinnamon and rusted hues is a season I feel at home in. It’s when seed heads are abundant in my garden and it’s during this time of decay, harvest & renewal that much of my foraging takes place.

The Finer Details

Gicleé print from an original collagraph and botanical element print.

This is a limited edition  Gicleé print (it is a digital reproduction from the original).

This print is also available with hand embelished gold foil, to represent a repair based on the Kintsugi technique, of celebrating mends and the poetic history found in fractures. Please let me know at the time of ordering which you would prefer.

How Its Made

I take time to create, by hand, the collagraph, using a range of tools and materials. The plant itself is pressed (sometimes for weeks) before committing to print. I thinly ink up the botanical element and the collagraph plate, then run these through my etching press, hand cranking it onto pre dampened paper.

The Gicleé prints are digital images, using a specialist printer with 12 ink tanks.

The gold foil element is hand applied so each one is unique. The print may be purchased with or without this addition. Please let me know which you would prefer when purchasing.

All prints come unframed, and are signed, titled and numbered by hand.
