Shipping & Returns, & Customs/Import Charges

Introduction

In this bit I set out details of the delivery methods, periods and charges that apply to orders for my products made through my website.

Shipping and timeframes

I will post products within 5 working days, provided the item is available. If you choose something not in stock or one that’s a custom item, I will create the piece for you. This may take up to 5 weeks depending on the time needed for casting, hallmarking and the time of the year (usually this is much sooner).

If your delivery address is outside of the United Kingdom mainland, all items are delivered using Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed.

Shipping charges

All items are delivered for a set postage fee, these differ depending on your country of residence. I do refund any postage costs that are in excess of the actual amount I am charged.

International orders for countries outside the UK may be subject to customs duty charges. This is a tax that you may have to pay for importing foreign goods into your country of residence.  For current rates I recommend getting in touch with your local customs department, as you are responsible for these costs.

Geographical limitations

There are some countries that I may not be able to deliver to. Please check before ordering.

Shipping and signatures

All deliveries must be received in person at the delivery address, and a signature must be provided.

Shipping issues

If you experience any problems with a delivery, please contact me using the contact form.

You must ensure that the delivery address is correct and that someone will be available to accept delivery or collect your item from another secure post location, within the required timeframe before the item is returned.

A suggested list of the situations where a failure to deliver will be your fault is set out below:

(a) you provided the wrong address for delivery;
(b) there is a mistake in the address for delivery that was provided;
(c) there was no person available at the address to accept delivery and provide a signature.

If delivery or collection is not possible and the item is returned to me, I will resend but unfortunately postage costs will need to be paid before I send out again.

Returns

You must contact me before returning any item.

You can return your item within 14 days, unworn.

If an item is unfortunately damaged in transit or faulty I will repair or replace it for you, where possible. All items must be returned via a fully insured delivery service.

I (Su France) am not responsible for the delivery costs of returned items or for lost or damaged items whilst in transit.

If you damage the item and wish it repaired, or need it altering, please contact me. You will however, incur a charge for any repairs or alterations.

Please contact me within 14 days of receipt.

Bespoke (made to order) items are non-returnable.

For hygiene reasons I am not able to offer an exchange on earrings.

Customs and import charges

Due to the UK leaving the EU, you may have to pay any necessary customs, import fees, and taxes when your hand-made, nature inspired piece arrives. These import charges are generally based on the item's price, weight, dimensions, and country of origin, as well as any taxes, duties, and fees added by your country.

All other countries outside the UK will already have to pay customs and import charges.

As a customer of Su France Designs, it’s your responsibility to check which customs and import charges may apply, and to pay them; so, it's a good idea to check with your country's customs office for more specific details.
