Before the Day

Blackthorn blossom comes out on bare black branches, usually around my birthday, before the leaves have even thought about arriving. The same hedgerow gives sloes later in the year, a quiet gift when the light has turned golden and the air smells of woodsmoke. This print holds both moments together.

A soft, atmospheric print of blackthorn blossom in warm, sepia, nostalgic tones, with the feel of an early autumn morning.

Materials Printed with oil based, highly pigmented inks, for rich colour and excellent lightfastness.

Please note that I take great care to photograph my prints accurately, but every screen is different, so colours may vary slightly from the real thing.
