Then there were the things that weren’t on the beach at all. An old hobnail door with rust seeping out from under every hob. A patch of old steel where the rust had gone from warm orange to a deep brown. The sort of thing that grabs your attention, then demands a close up. I love the moment of noticing a weathered surface. I've also been having an exciting time returning to a technique I haven't visited in a while, solar plate/ photopolymer printing. Two prints from my Above the Fields series will be on show at Artspace on the Prom, West Promenade, Cromer, from 20 June through to 10 July, open daily 11am–4pm.
