Inspiration
 
This beautiful 'Early Frost' print is a handprinted collagraph created with pressed botanicals and sustainable inks. The pressed botanicals here are fern fronds and the non-inked (blind embossed) impression is from another fern leaf. The colours represent the early morning frosts, where the inky blue darkness of the night has begun to be illuminated by the first rays of dawn.

How Its Made
This monoprint was created using a unique printmaking technique, Monoprints are one-of-a-kind images, where ink is applied to a surface, then transferred to paper. I created this one using my Gunning press. Each print is distinct and cannot be replicated exactly. All prints come unframed, wrapped in compostable cellophane with a recycled card backing. Each print is individually hand signed, embossed with my logo and numbered.
